Option 1: Delete Your Account in the App
- Open ToDone.
- Go to Settings → My Account.
- Select Delete Account.
- Read the warning and confirm deletion.
ToDone proceeds with local cleanup on the current device only after the server confirms that the account was deleted successfully or no longer exists. A network or server failure is not shown as a completed request. You can try again later or use the email option below.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email from the address registered with ToDone whenever possible:
Send a ToDone account deletion email
- Recipient: it_quinna@163.com
- Subject: ToDone Account Deletion
- Message: identify the registered ToDone email address you want deleted. Do not provide your email password or a verification code.
We will verify your control of the account. We normally acknowledge the request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 15 business days after verification. If the law requires retention or we cannot verify your identity, we will explain why.
Data Deleted from Online Services
- account ID, email address or phone number, nickname, registration time, and database key;
- areas, projects, tasks, notes, checklists, tags, reminders, recurring rules, and ordering;
- task creation, completion, restoration, deletion, and related event records; and
- sync devices, sync watermarks, change records, and account-related server configuration.
Data in the online business database is deleted after account deletion is confirmed. Isolated copies retained solely for disaster recovery are overwritten or deleted within a rolling period of no more than 30 days, unless the law requires otherwise.
Data We Cannot Delete Remotely
A web or email request cannot remotely erase copies that remain on your devices, in system backups, on other offline devices, or in locations to which you exported them. After the online account is deleted, uninstall ToDone or clear its app data on relevant devices and remove exported files or local backups you no longer need.
In-app account deletion attempts to clear the database, keys, account cache, notifications, and widget snapshots on the device where deletion was initiated. Files you copied to another location or that remain in operating-system backups are outside the app's control.
Consequences of Deletion
- After deletion is complete, the original account and cloud content cannot be recovered.
- You may register again later with the same email address, but it will be treated as a new account.
- Signing out does not trigger this deletion. Signing back in to the same account after signing out lets you continue using its existing cloud content.
