1. Parties and Scope
ToDone is operated by Gui Zou, an individual developer ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms apply to the ToDone apps, ToDone-related pages on locklock.ltd, and our account, verification-code sign-in, and cloud sync services.

2. The Service
ToDone is an offline-first task manager that provides tasks, projects, areas, checklists, tags, reminders, recurring rules, statistics, local backups, and related features. Some features are available without signing in. After signing in, you may use cloud sync and cross-device recovery.
Available features may vary by version and platform. A feature that has not been officially made available in a ToDone client is not a service commitment under these Terms.
3. Eligibility and Minors
You must have the legal capacity appropriate for your use of ToDone. Minors should use ToDone only after a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
ToDone does not intentionally offer account services to children under 14. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us.
4. Accounts and Security
- ToDone currently uses email verification codes for account sign-in. Other authentication capabilities maintained by the server apply only after they are officially made available in a client.
- You must lawfully control the email account used to sign in. Do not share verification codes, impersonate another person, or abuse verification-code endpoints.
- If you detect unusual account activity, lose a device, or notice unauthorized syncing, end the affected session and contact us promptly.
- Signing out normally ends only the session and does not delete ToDone data on that device. Account deletion is a separate, irreversible action.
5. Your Content
You retain all rights you lawfully hold in the tasks, notes, projects, checklists, tags, reminders, and other content you create.
When you enable cloud sync, you authorize us to process that content only as necessary to provide storage, transmission, synchronization, conflict handling, recovery, and security maintenance. This authorization is non-exclusive, limited to providing the service, and does not transfer ownership of your content.
You must ensure that content you store or sync does not violate another person's rights and does not contain unlawful material, malicious code, or content intended to compromise system security.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use ToDone to:
- engage in unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, harassing, or unsafe conduct;
- bypass authentication, quotas, access controls, or other technical safeguards;
- probe, attack, or disrupt our servers, sync protocols, or another user's data without authorization;
- automatically abuse verification codes, APIs, email delivery, or other limited resources; or
- copy, sell, or redistribute ToDone software or services where prohibited by law.
7. Local Data, Sync, and Backups
ToDone stores content on your device first. Cloud sync is intended to maintain consistency across devices; it is not a permanent archive or a guarantee against all data loss. Keep appropriate copies of particularly important information.
Network interruptions, device clocks, system permissions, third-party infrastructure, software defects, or concurrent edits may cause sync delays, conflicts, or temporary unavailability. We use reasonable measures to maintain the service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Local reminders depend on operating-system scheduling and must not be relied on for medical, life-safety, financial settlement, or other time-critical purposes.
8. Updates, Changes, and Discontinuation
We may provide security updates, bug fixes, feature changes, or platform adaptations. When reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material service changes, changes to these Terms, or discontinuation through the app, website, or registered email address and allow a reasonable period for users to manage their data.
We may restrict access by accounts involved in clear abuse, attacks, or unlawful conduct to protect users, our systems, or comply with law. Advance notice may not be possible in an urgent security situation.
9. Fees
Features not clearly identified as paid in the current version may be used without charge. If we offer subscriptions, one-time purchases, or other paid services in the future, we will disclose the price, billing period, renewal, and refund terms before purchase. Changes to these Terms alone will not create a payment obligation.
10. Sign-out, Account Deletion, and Termination
Signing out ends only the current authenticated session. By default, the local database, keys, unsynced changes, and sync watermarks remain available so the same account can resume after signing in again.
Account deletion is irreversible. After the server confirms deletion, the account and associated cloud business data are deleted, and the client clears app data on the device from which deletion was initiated. Files you exported, local rolling backups, operating-system backups, or copies on other offline devices may require separate deletion by you.

11. Intellectual Property
ToDone software, interfaces, branding, icons, documentation, and service implementations are protected by intellectual property rights held by us or their respective owners. These Terms do not affect your lawful rights in your content or restrict conduct that applicable law expressly permits and does not allow contracts to exclude.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
ToDone is provided "as is" and "as available." We use reasonable care in maintaining the service, but cannot guarantee that it will meet every purpose, remain uninterrupted, or prevent every instance of data loss.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by force majeure, security issues involving your device or account, unsupported modifications, failures of third-party infrastructure, or your failure to keep appropriate copies of important data.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or liability that applies by law for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
13. Changes to These Terms
We will display the latest version and effective date on this page. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. If a change involves new purposes, methods, or categories of personal information processing, we will provide a separate notice and obtain consent where required by applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring proceedings before a People's Court with lawful jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections under applicable law continue to apply.
